BlackMetal Mélodique... mais hargneux ! Franco-Japonais. Ici, un EP 4 titres relativement courts à 3 mn de moyenne, mais chargés, aux ambiances et mélodies variées, comme à leurs habitudes. A mon sens, ceci doit s'écouter en entier, dans l'ordre (12'25) car chaque titre est fait pour aller à la suite. Donc, pas de "favorite".

NONE a opéré un virage dans Where Life Should Be et ça se confirme davantage dans Damp Chill of Life. Le temps des métaphores est révolu : l'humidité froide, c'est celle des larmes qui coulent sur le visage à cause de la dépression. Tout pleure dans cet album : les guitares typées DSBM grésillent, les solos ("The Damp Chill of Life", "It's Painless To Let Go") sont liquides et coulent, les voix prennent à la gorge ; même le piano, étranglé par les sanglots ("Cease"), est aphone. Insoutenable...

Black Metal from France! A one man band, sometimes old school, sometimes ambient, sometimes depressive, sometimes post-black but always amazing! This has an absolutely stunning atmosphere & the music is to die for! It wraps you up tightly (there is no escape!) & carries you on a fantastic journey with every note & song. If you then factor in that this is essentially a debut then - WOW! I need more!!! Highly recommended!!!

Un super album de black metal, aux riffs accrocheurs, une ambiance mortifère et j'aime beaucoup l'utilisation de sons assez étranges par ci par la... je ne suis pas du tout étonné de voir un morceau cover aux influences de Mutiilation avec Meyhna'ch en feat sur "The satanic mass" car oui... Morguilliath est dans la même veine de misanthropie... A écouter absolument! Merci Rats!!!
